Want to experience Ballooning across the Avon Valley? Well, why not combine it with some great leisure time as well.
We have created a great package with Windward Balloon Adventures which is available at special rates for either a Tuesday or Wednesday morning flight together with our amazing accommodation experience.
2 nights accommodation at Black Wattle Retreat, dinner on both nights, breakfast on one morning, ballooning on the other with a champagne breakfast after the flight. On weekends you could expect to pay over $1200.00 for this combination for 2 but on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from April til November it is just $950.00 per couple.
Ballooning always is subject to weather conditions and postponements happen, we understand.

26th Anniversary of the Moondyne Festival in Toodyay.
Sunday May 2010 (date to be advised)
Come along and spend the weekend enjoying the lead up to the greatest event of the year in Toodyay - the Moondyne Festival. On Saturday watch as they set up the Log Chop and the stage for all the events, listen in to Shank's Pony who will be playing on the Saturday night as well as the Sunday.
On Sunday, join in the mayhem and madness as Moondyne Joe and his gang run amok through the streets of Ye Olde Town of Newcastle. Laugh along with the crowd as he and his gang are arrested, tried, jailed, escape and captured all over again.
Frolic with a Floozie, be measured up by the Undertaker, Shake hands with the Lord Mayor and kiss the hand of the fair Lady of Newcastle. Watch the Cleavage competition and the Moustache competition (should not be the same competitors) and judge the results for yourself.

Dowerin Field Day 2010

Come on up and marvel at what a huge event this field day is. Ride on the tractor around the show grounds or kick the tyres on a new one. Meet the livestock and the locals, try some new products and taste the country life. Great day out and staying at Black Wattle means you can enjoy the event without the stress of driving back to Perth.

Let the rev heads enjoy the action in the dirt while you sit in the spa or enjoy a relaxing massage. Sounds like a great compromise to me.

Why not come up for the weekend and enjoy this annual event. Arrive Friday and experience the track and the town in pre race fever! Spend Saturday checking out the nags (and the horses too) and then enjoy a leisurely dinner before getting up on Sunday for the big event. Wear your best as there is the famous Fashions on the Field on Sunday. What a great weekend for a trip to Toodyay.
